can't get off the ground?WHY!!!!
« on: March 12, 2001, 12:06:00 PM »
I'm trying to play the game with a "PROPAD".
Everything was working allright,if you don't count plane pulling to the left on takeoff, plane rolling to the right in flight ,plane rolling to thr right when ever i try to shoot another plane, auto level not staying engaged, not even picking up enough speed to takeoff, when i give it more throttle it filps to the left while i'm still on the runway.when i try to calibrate, every thing goes opposite direction,i move left, the "+"GOES RIGHT,i move right"+"goes left,i go up it "+"goes down, etc, etc, etc.
I seem to be going to setup every 30 secs, tried everything imaginable, what's the problem?THANX

The best thing you can do, in my opinion, is go buy you a joystick. Gamepads just arent suited for this like a stick is. You can pick up a good logitech stick at office max for 30 odd bucks er so.

Good luck.

I don't use a logitech myself, I did a few years ago, seemed to be a pretty good stick then. Anyways, there are others that you don't have to spend an arm and a leg on, that should work well.

Nacho,
You don't know what you are talking about. I have used Logitech and CH for a long time. They are both good.

Ah....well i've had some trouble with logitech stuff over the years....i prefer to go with M$ Precision Pro 2....very sturdy stick and is twisty.  might not be the best but it's around 40-50 dollars.

I'm figuring it's some kind of gamepad.  You know, the ones that look like Playstation controllers or whatever that folks use to play sports games and beat-em-ups.

Any cheap joystick would be a step up.  Heck, I think you would have better results flying with the mouse, give that a shot.
