now all we need is an option from hangar to spawn as a troop with a .45 or luger, and a m1 grenade or a thompson, and 8 hand gernades
for a small perk fee you have the option of a Bazooka or B.A.R.

Well, seeing as pilots bail out of planes with .45's, how about we let tankers bail and give them carbines?  I would drive a T34, just for the reason of being able to bail out with a Mosin Nagant M44 in hand :D

For an air war simulator, lots of participants certainly have a thirst for individual ground combat up close and personal.

Or, if an Ostie takes my wing off, can I bail, land, run at him, yell "Aaaaiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!", clamber into the turret and kill him in revenge?
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Great Idea but man It would get tedious after 3 or 4 rides and the goon keeps getting shot down. Its hard enough to talk people into bringing ordance to a field.

If I get shot at I sure hope the guy is holding his gun sideways with one hand and his pants up with the other.

Do the jap pilots have to carry a baby nambu?

There were three .45's in the U.S. handgun arsenal...  The first was the Colt patent 1911 pistol.  Another was the Colt New Service revolver in .45 acp and the other was the Smith and Wesson 1917 revolver in .45acp.
