'Tis a very good album. Green Day's gotten better since they left their Poseur-Punk theme.

Beatles were influenced on Carl Perkins more than those two, but these three nonetheless.

PS - mosca was right about The Stones, too, and there's lots more, but I reckoned none of ewe damyankees would mention Hank ;)

Been gone for a week and this thread comes up.  Figures.

Everything by Hank was golden. All his tunes are tied for the best, but my personal favorites are:

I'm so Lonesome I Could Cry
Cold Cold Heart
Your Cheatin Heart
Jambalaya
Honky Tonkin

Hey Good Lookin
There's a Tear in My Beer
Ramblin Man
Why Don't You Love Me
Honky Tonk Blues

Still a favorite, but just not as favorite,
My Bucket's Got a Hole In It.

I agree --- Hank Williams was great. I for one can't stand 99.8% of Country/Country-Western music. Hank Williams and Willy Nelson are of the select few that I can listen to.

Not sure what harm Hank Jr. does to you Sandman but he is a talented musician in his own right.  Soon after Sr. died he was expected to and did mimic his father....came to a point he had to be himself. Vive la differance.
