May need help on a MySql Database issue
« on: February 22, 2005, 04:12:21 PM »
Hi guys

I've driven myself into a database problem and i may need some help or advice.

I'm running a webpage with a CMS (Content Management System) under the domain http://www.eurosquad.ch. Last sunday i wanted to add one more database for a forum and a picture gallery.

The result was that i deleted the CMS database (i know, i'm a idiot).

After this genious act i called the provider and he restored the entire data (database and all other files) onto the server.

The restored datas are on the server now BUT ... i dont have access anymore on the CMS as well as on the content on the domain.

Question:
Do i need to make some changes by my self after the restore procedure done by the provider or should i have been restored 1:1 and full functional as it has been before ?

Any suggestions before i start installing the entire thing again ?

Thanks

I'm a bit confused by your request.  The database is back, with all data?  Did you have specific accounts created to access that data?  Were those accounts created by you, or something the CMS did?  How are the permissions to the database handled?  Do you define the accounts, or are those defined by the provider?
