This is not mean't as a criticism of the current system, but rather an open-ended question. I know HTC has alot on their plate now and I was hoping for some input from others with more knowledge than me. I'm not a 'gamer' and don't play other PC games where a score or rank is involved.
I guess this stems from the idea that we don't play any game without keeping score. We don't go bowling, play golf, tennis, pool, or even watch football, basketball or baseball without keeping, or looking at, the score.
The mere mention of rank always sets off howls of 'Rank doesn't matter,' replies. Are they wrong? Or could the current system be tweaked to make it more meaningful? If you started with a blank sheet of paper, what would you use for a ranking system and what would be parameters and rewards?
Should there be an accounting for gunner kills in the rank? Or vehicle kills for bombers? Is kills/time reasonable? Should there be a stopwatch?
Anyway... who knows? You may come wth something good that HTC will look at and put on the 'to-do list.'
