How do you maintain good SA with this plane ?

Coming from the A8/Typhoon I find the view extremly limited.

Anyone can post films ?

Have you manually adjusted all of your views in the plane.
Not just look back? You will find that using the up and down arrow keys you can remove most of the obstructions.

All my view are setup to maximase visibility but I can't stop rolling left and right just to see

Visibility is IMO worst than the F4U1

When I fly the 38 I am also constantly rolling to see. I think that is just kinda part of flying the 38. There is no way to avoid it as the wings and engines really obstruct side view. It helped my SA in the other planes too actually (to have flown the 38 for a month).

Hmmm, you mean you don't roll your wings to look down?
How do you know if you behind him or he's behind you using your 3-9 line?

This is simply a disadvantage of the plane. You adjust all views to maximize visibility, and just learn to live with it.

If I have an alt advantage entering a busy engagement, I'll sometimes approach inverted.

All the problems with the big engines blocking your view is, IMO, completely compensated by being able to see your low 6 out the back.

solution for poor SA in a 38: fly into the middle of a furball at 2k and be confident that they're EVERYWHERE. Or get used to wiggling around to see stuff... I do that in every plane...

Rolling to see around the engine nacelles is an advantage. Yesterday I inadvertantly avoided enemy aircraft diving to attack me because I was rocking my wings to see what was going on below me.

Yep, always rocking the 38 back and forth to see what's going on. It becomes second nature.

The only time you'll see me flying level is when I'm AFK. My squad mates wonder what I've been smoking because when they wing with me, I'm always flying a zig zag pattern so I can see what's going on. Fly the P-38 for any amount of time and you'll find yourself doing the same thing.
