Tip for newbies

I don't have too much time to play, I started with a Cheap celica 4WD. I hooked up a stage 2 turbo + NOS + handling.

I went to the "special events", passed the first one that gave me the Cady 750HP monster. The Cady makes me win all the authorized races with my finger in the nose "American hot rod who gives the Chevelle, MR beginner chalenge ..."

I used the boosted celica to win the Second special event race, capri rally hands down that gives a toyota rally car 2002 worth $234,000  takes about 15 minutes total.

Repeat, make $234,000.00 per 15 minutes ... buy what you want. Don't struggle with the small stuff.

I bought my long forbidden love, the 1967 Toyota 2000 GT:

Can someone do me a favor and find out if there's an Ford Taurus SHO in this one like there was in GT2?

If there is, I'll have to check it out.

To turn off the driving aids "Nanny" in Gran Tourismo mode, you have to go into the setup menu when you are at the track.  There is an item at the middle bottom of the setup screen which lets you set the traction control & abs strength and the strength of the understeer/oversteer nanny.  For some modern cars it's quite realistic to leave those turned on, but in general it is a lot more fun with them turned off.

I passed through 35% tonight.  I want all the prize cars, and I'm going through it using B-Spec.

Better do some Aspec and practice =)
There's 5 prize cars in the mission area and 1 for each level of license (bronze, silver, and gold, 15cars total).

Yep I have the prize car list.

B-spec lets you accelerate time by a factor of 3.  I don't find racing the crappy AI drivers challenging or entertaining, so I am letting the B-spec bot do as much as possible.  I drive the A-spec only stuff (licenses, missions, rally, etc) and some of the more interesting races that aren't too long.

I think the best I've ever gotten was 10.0010.

My 1100hp TVR Speed 12 (stage 4 + supercharger + NOS + everything else that can be stuck on it) only runs 10.08 in the quarter... but on top speed tests, maxes out at 285.7mph. That's after tuning the tranny, suspension, & downforce for awhile.. more I tuned, slower it went... Gets to the point where the engine can no longer overcome the air resistance I believe.

Got licenses B - IA, got a 850hp Skyline for Japan, a 780hp NA Ford GT for the US races, & a 980hp Zonda + 1100hp TVR Speed 12 for Euro racing.. found if you win the Japan Championship it gives you a Nismo Z Concept LM Race Car that you can sell for 350k... and it's a pretty easy series. Tonight it's time to build a rally car & sport truck, plus a vew low end models to wrap up the beginner & pro series.

Can you post the price car list Funked? I am not too interested by 1000 HP UFOs.

Quickest money I found so far is $264,000 for 2 2lap races at special condition race two (Capri), doesn't require a monster car to win.

Geezzzbuss  Funky your just zooming right along.. I'm only at 15%

I just finished my uber Benz 950hp AMG SLK65 it likes to roast tires all the way though 3rd gear.  I think a taller rear gear will hopefully fix that issue.

Do you still have to do all the driving test to get licensees?

Man those are a pain!
