I'm with you on this one.  It'd be nice if we could block the sun with the clipboard, at least.

It used to. People were making the clipboard tiny and moving it into the sun while climbing after an opponent.

Sun huggers were complaining about how they got shot hiding in the sun.

First of all, I never did this.

However what on earth is wrong is that? Pilots in WW2 could easily have used a free hand in such a climb to block the sun.  They also had sun glasses.

There isnt anything wrong with it and in fact they WWII pilots did just that.

I agree the clipboard should block the sun, particularly when Im trying to look at it.
Its not like its going to give you any kind of an advantage while in a fight.
Unless you want to try to constantly move the clipboard around to whatever position the sun happens to be moment by moment which would be next to impossable.

But this feature would be particularly useful on climbout or while in flight to the target/furball  area and
when you actually want to look at the clipboard.

The sun in AH2 is enormous, so it's always next to a horizon. :)

Yeah, the sun is a bit over done. And it always seems to be rising or setting during primetime. And yeah, the clipboard should block sunlight. Unfortunately, adding sun as environmental factor requires that normal remedies for it be available. However, sunglasses can be simulated by just turning down the gamma a bit.

and the sun still shows 3/4's of it self when it is behind a mtn range or hill

not to hijack the thread, but if they bring night back, i'd like to see the icons disappear into the darkness while the moonlight gets brighter.  i'd like to be searching for airplanes and other targets at night; not icons.
