I try not to say 'rofl' in conversation.  Of course, I don't use it online either unless, and this is very rare, I actually get off my chair and roll around on the floor laughing.

It kinda hurts.

when someone says

ROFLMAO

i often wonder how they reattach it.

sometimes i ask...

"have you reattached your arse yet?"

and then they say something, and i realize that they have.

You see Jb88, that's one of those things called Idioms.  It cannot be translated literally into another language.  Just as the other languages have idioms that can't be translated literally into English.

I know it's a difficult concept, but you'll soon learn about it when you get to the 5th grade.

oh, i get it sailor, you understand idiom, but fail to recognize humor.

i suppose that has something to do with your lack thereof.

don't worry, you'll catch on.

just smile and nod when the others do
(as you normally do with your politics) and you'll be just fine.

glad to be of mutual service.

Oh, I fully understand humor.  But I don't spread my legs widely in a game of Rochambeau.

Just found this fun little phrase: "the gibberish you disgorge".

I've never heard anyone say that.

I never say "i.e." or  "e.g." in conversation.

I also don't air quote. My niece started doing that and I told her not to. Its not the flapping fingers that bother me, but the goofy face while flapping fingers.
