A flight at 3am?  What do you do during oral exam?

The oral is today, flight tomorrow at 3am.

I've got a flight here at 5am local.  Mccarran airport in Las Vegas only allows GA airplanes to shoot approaches between the wee hours of around 1am to 7am because before and after that thay're slammed with airliners.

I'm not 100% sure of those hours but we're flying 3am and 5am flights with each profile taking about 2 hours for practice.

I only get one II flight which is no big deal since I consider IFR flying a strong point.  I have had good training and have good habits with a thorough understanding of most things involved with instrument flying.  Not to mention I have more actual wet IFR time than the rest of the class here (7 total) combined.

So far things have been real intense as far as ground and working as a group to get each other ready, the program definately exceeded any expectations I may have had before hand and I'm excited to be completing so I can go home to Ohio where the temperature is a balmy 18ยบ and snow.

Airplane Multiengine
Instrument Airplane

Two Down...one to go.  Single Engine Add-on is Sunday at 16:30 local.

An interesting side note...we heard Steve Fosset in the global explorer on the radio being interviewed by someone while out in the practice area doing maneuvers.  My brain is so fried right now and I've lost all track of time (I can't believe its thursday night already!) I don't know if it was today or yesterday (how sad) but it was pretty neat.

I can't wait to be home.
