He's called the LSO (Landing Signal Officer)
I think he'd be too small to spot, and you'd almost had to put your head out of the cockpit to see him, something we can't.

He's there in Microsoft Combat Flightsimulator II Pacific Theatre, but I don't like it. Too much attention watching the LSO and too less attention to actually landing the thing...

Actually Fongman, I meant I didn't like the LSO, he distracts me from the actual landing.

For instance, the LSO waves off the landing while I can still do the job, that's annoying...

The lso in CFS2 is just a joke, I never once made a sucessful landing using the lso but I can land just fine every time by just ignoring him.
