Winds of Change
« on: March 02, 2005, 02:05:10 PM »
The world is closing in
Did you ever think
That we could be so close, like brothers..
The future's in the air
I can feel it everywhere
Blowing with the winds of change

The wind of change blows straight
Into the face of time
Like a stormwind that will ring
The freedom bell for peace of mind'...

Great Song....

Scorpions has lots of great lyrics.

Go listen to:

Daddy's Girl (about child molesting)
Winds of Change (you heard it)
Is there anybody out there?
Edge of Time
White Dove

The only thing i dont like about them is that they seem to try to be the rock band that brings peace to the world by making their lovethybrother speeches in every concert they play.

Nothing wrong with it but... well, lets just say the way the lead singer makes the little speeches sounds SO fake its just not funny.  Heck just listen to 'Living for Tomorrow' and you'll see what I mean. FAKE as heck.

I prefer Ace of Base over Scorpions though.. man that girl can SING. :) (yeah im an 80's person, so bite me).

There is unrest in the forest,
There is trouble with the trees,
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas.

The trouble with the maples,
(And they're quite convinced they're right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light.
But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made.
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade.

There is trouble in the forest,
And the creatures all have fled,
As the maples scream "Oppression!"
And the oaks just shake their heads

So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights.
"The oaks are just too greedy;
We will make them give us light."
Now there's no more oak oppression,
For they passed a noble law,
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw.

Personally, I'm glad that we finally saw the end of the "power ballad".
