CH Throttle USB cord replacement

I've got a replacement USB cord for my CH THrottle Pro which came with no instructions from CH. I popped the 4 screws on the base to discover the attachment plug is nestled up in the throttle handle. There's 3 screws on the handle base which you can't really access cuz the throttle base is in the way. Wrote to CH last week...have yet to hear back. Has anyone else tackled this before? Ren? A couple of pointers would be appreciated.
