Training Instructors Announced
« on: February 17, 2000, 11:48:00 AM »
Thanks to everyone who sent in an application for the instructor positions.  I wanted to send out individual emails to everyone, but this post will have to do.  For those who weren't selected, the two biggest things to work on were just getting more time in AH and making a stronger helpful presence on the message board.  I urge you to keep applying for instructor positions whenever the call is put forth.

Here is our first group of instructors.  They will be key in setting a precedent of excellence for all future instructors to follow.

Chief Instructor - Lephturn

Instructors- Funked, Humble, Indian, Kieren, Minotaur, Pongo, Popeye, Ripsnort, Sharky, TShred, Weazel

An email with more details will be forthcoming to the Instructor Corps.

Congrads guys!  I'm not an official instructor, but in one of my posts lephturn and i go over the idea of developing a series of films on involving types of engagments with analysis and such.  He said he'd put it into web format and make it available.  I'm hoping i can work with some of you trainers on the idea in the training arena.  I will organize it and such, and write the content, and it will take a little while as i'm working over-time these days, but eventually i hope it will provide a good series of training films for new and old pilots alike.

Thanks for the support guys.    Glad to see such a great bunch of trainers I'll get to work with.

I will be doing my best to help contribute to the AH community by helping all who are interested improve.    BTW I just want to mention that being the best pilot is not the important part of being a trainger.  (Good thing too...or I might not be here!)  Although you do need to be a competent pilot, more important is the desire go teach and help others.  I encourage all those interested in being a trainer down the road to be helpful to others, get more experience, and attend lots of training sessions!  There will be room for lots of different folks, so everyone interested apply whenever Pyro calls for applications in the future.  Your score isn't the determining factor here, so don't get discouraged if you have a low K/D.

Thanks Pyro and HTC.
