Newbs guide to building battling.

1) Ensure that no-one takes any ord to the target field.
2) Upon arrival no ack should be killed until at least 1/4 of your force has been killed.
3) VH should be left up until another 1/4 has been shot down.

2 and 3 are interchangeable depending on situation.

4) Once most of your ammo has gone you may now call on buffs and goons.
5) Goons must come from no closer than 50 miles.
6) Buffs should be tasked to hit irrelevent targets or get intercepted by astronaut 190s/109s.
7) 1st goon to arrive must carry field supplies and not goons.
8) 2nd goon to arrive should drop too low.
9) 3rd goon to arrive must carry out a good drop only to find out the &^&%&** church is still up.

From here its either back to number 1 or a 4th arrives and squeezes the goons  in just in the nick of time.

Anything I missed?

All in the name of fun :)

The 4th goon has to rip its wings off trying to do the "vert troop drop" maneuver.

OK then -

10) The 4th goon has to rip its wings off trying to do the "vert troop drop" maneuver.

Should I have included? -

11) Once base has been taken everyone must leave it so an M3 can sneak in and reclaim it within 5 mins.

gotta get, drop all FHs with 20 friendly fighters over base(of course light), but leave Vh up so they up about 50 gvs and cover town and field in there somewhere.

I`d like to add that L`il generals should always be in field gunner/ship gunner position before reset by at least 15 minutes. That way you can start the "what everyone else done wrong" and the "this is the reason always gets rest whines in advance. At the moment of reset then said L`il general can go into the " I told ya so" mode.
This sound remotely familiar to any that has posted so far?

you must of been at A8 earlier, I watched the video version of the rules live. Goons flyin over upped town screamin to get it down vh up, gv's all rollin into town, but rest assured the fh's were down. so to recap town up, gv's in town, goons over town,  vh up, gv's rollin, fh's down, bomber hangers up, and you guessed it il2's making havoc.
perfect recipe on how not to take a base

Jackal wasn't a whine was a humerous guide.
Obviously a little too subtle for you.
Next time I'll try to make it more obvious so even you catch on like everyone else did.

Sorry Kev, while the majority of this is spot-on, I think you may have gotten confused on the goon part.

According to the "Ohfishul Gide on Stragety", first goon drops supplies, second goon is lost to heavy ostwind fire, third drops with the church up, then the fourth drops low. The fifth goon, which is listed as optional, may rip its wings off. Also, the second goon may be replaced with an M3 who should ideally be the first to arrive at the field.

Anyway, I just wanted to point that minor discrepancie out. :p  Thanks for taking the time to assemble the information though. This should prove to be an invaluable tool for many people. :aok

Cheers,
