Should Ahhhnold have an asterisk?
« on: March 07, 2005, 02:42:25 AM »
Seeming he would never have been famous or been gov of ca w/o steroids, should he not have an asterisk next to his name as gov?

I wonder if he thinks Bonds should have an asterisk? The very guy who brought steroids in vogue. Says he is against using steroids, but has no regrets taking them(no shat! he got rich!). This guy was born to be a politician.

Seriously though, kids are not dumb, they see the results. How can you make an argument about steroids being bad when guys like this are becoming famous and rich using them?

Make them legal? Let the kids shoot them up?

they were legal when he used em.   Do you think they still should be?   Many famous people used to smoke.   Should we allow smoking in public buildings?

What is your point?

So, if I get a crooked doctor to write me prescriptions for oxycontin it is legal?

Did smoking make those people famous?

The point is, how can he have any credibility saying "don't use steroids" when he has no regrets?

in a word... yes.

If you had in the past and it had helped you or you thought it had but later reserch showed how bad if was for you and how many lives it had ruined then... I would say that you had a right to be against legal oxicontin.

You can buy testosterone over the intardnet.
I did and went from 230lbs to 270lbs in 5 weeks .
Ofcoures i lived at 24hr fitness for those 5 weeks and all my joints dried out and got tendinitis in my shoulder and elbows.

But hey the stuff is legal but that don't make it a smart thing to do.

As far as I know, the California constitution doesn’t have any restrictions on previous anabolic steroid use for its elected officials.

But Major League Baseball’s rules prohibit steroids as a form of cheating. So if Bonds is ever convicted of steroid use by MLB then yes he should have an asterisk (or something). Just like if he hit his homers with a corked bat.

Anabolic steroids aren’t “illegal” -- at least in the sense of things like heroin. Most steroids are Schedule III controlled substances meaning they can be used by prescription but with certain restrictions because they have a high potential for abuse.

Heroin, PCP, LSD and others are Schedule I, meaning they have no medical use and can’t be prescribed by most physicians.

Hmmm... does this mean that these drugs, even though they have no medical use, can be prescribed by some physicians?

Why bother with the doctor?  I get spam that says I can buy it online.

It is possible to get regulatory approval to use Schedule I drugs in laboratory research.

He was a very successful businessman, too.  I don't think steroids had much to do with that.

I have no idea what you mean by US speaker, but his election is legitimate, and he is a citizen.

Carry on, though.  I love watching you whine, more so when you are inaccurate.
