That one has the original French camo so it can't be Mörkö. The picture is probably of  one in French service.

French Air Force in WW2 was Armee d' la Air, no?....I've never seen a MS406 photo with such a birdcagey looking canopy before

Exactly it's : Armée de l'Air :)
There was another force after 1940  the FAFL : Forces Aériennes Française Libre.

FAFL and AA merged in 1943/44  (with lot of difficulties) and created the new Armée de l'Air.



Btw I've seen this picture in the past but I don't know when or where so I can be mistaken but to me it look like a French pilot :)
And perhaps it's a MS 405 not a 406.

It sure does look like a French pilot and it could be either the 405 or the 406.
