Old news, but still interesting I think:

Chertoff is a funny name. "Chert" ("Chort" or "Chyort", depends on old/new spelling rules) in Russian and some other Slavonic languages means "devil" or "imp" :D "Chertoff" or "Chertov" means "son of devil" ;)
