I wonder how many chargers they kill for this one.

Jessica simpson as Daisy? Sad, she is like a deformed barbi. She almost looks like she has downs syndrome to me.

I actually watched the E Holliwood story for the show on TV last night. In it they said the destroyed an average of 2 69 chargers per episode. And they shot well over 100 episodes of the show.

I was sickened to hear that.

Not that many of them were made in the first place.

They started the show in 1977 I believe and finished in the early 80's so I am sure they were buying them up cheap. They were just old enough to be wearing out but were too new to be worth restoring.

BTW another little know fact. Daisy always had nylons on when she was in shorts. That is how they got her clothes past the network censors.

If they destroyed an average of 2 '69 Chargers per episode, how many Chargers total did they destroy?  Cause not all those cars were '69s.  We used to make a game out of counting how many times in an episode we could spot things that were out of place for a '69 Charger.

Holly crap, found this when searching for numbers of destroyed chargers!

They sold the chargers cheap to Mopar guys who were apart of the charger registry!


The 17 cars left got sold to members of the charger registry! cheap!


Story is very interesting.

 Looks like the number is between 260 and 300 destroyed. Every jump killed one since they were unibody cars.

Story is very interesting.


I know the Mopar Special Events guys do a "Dukes of Hazzard" show every year, and try to get stars from the TV show to come sign autographs and such.  Catherine Bach usually shows up (and she still looks pretty darn good).

Heard it... I expect that this movie will spend all of two weeks in the theatres before they give up on it and then it'll be at your nearest Blockbuster one month after that.
