I had never tried these until just a few weeks ago.

Man... I'm going through these like mad. Can't get enough.

They taste like brown sugar... sort of.

The skin has an odd taste also... I'm going to have to eat another and see if I can describe it. :)

  That's a good description!  I like the ones that have a texture much like what you would imagine a cockroach would have. :D

I was going to avoid the texture altogether. Now you've spoiled the surprise. LOL.

The only thing similar between prunes and dates is that they're dried.

Now, if you had said prunes and apricots, I would agree.
