I mean it is a twin engine attack plane. It is huge! As long as you keep it fast. Anything above 250-300MPH is all you need to out fly most fighters in AH.
I have flown the A-20 as my main ride on a tour or two. It is very capable within its narrow performance band. However, almost any fighter can beat it if, and that if is important, you do not overshoot. Plus, most A-20 pilots fly and often shoot from the F3 position. So, they have a better view and no blind spots.
A-20s accelerate in a dive faster than any fighter. So, they can generate speed in a hurry. However, that acceleration can get you in trouble if you go too fast. Level acceleration is, in a word, terrible. Climb rate is good for a medium bomber, but miserable for a fighter. Zoom climb is exceptional, due to its mass. So, be advised that a Co-E A-20 will match any fighter for a considerable distance going up. Don't try to climb away from a Co-E A-20, it may just catch up within the first 2-3k and shoot your butt off.
Most people lose to an A-20 because they did not expect it to maneuver like a fighter. Assume it will, be prepared for that and you'll beat them without too much difficulty.
