I have done it!
« on: March 11, 2005, 09:58:38 AM »

I'm working on getting everything that happened down on paper and posted somewhere.  There will be a full recap of the ATP CFI Program as well some observations that are either strong or weak points of the program as well as what you get when you get out of the CFI as well as their career pilot program.

But...I signed my first logbook the other day for about an hour of pattern work and have already two instrument students, 4 multi (3 private add-ons and one MEI) students and my father as a private applicant.  Things are looking up and I'm going to have a ball :)

Congratulations!  I hope to someday hold the same certificate, except hopefully mine will have MY name on it.

Question:  Will your instruction technique focus on teaching your flying students the 'boom & zoom' or 'turn & burn' method?

Thanks everyone else...

Here are some photos that I've got around to shrinking.  Some are grainy because I overzoomed my relatively new digital camera and didn't know they'd come out that poorly.

Cash for the examiner...I need to be an examiner.

I found that if I just go to 3x zoom on my digital camera...I can just enlarge the clearer photo in even the most basic photo editing software.  No more grainy images for me :)  I was sad when I saw the quality (or lack of) in the overzoomed ones.  Live 'n learn.

I spoke with Zip Upham the other day on the phone from NAS Fallon.  It seems that straiga was not a top gun instructor according to CMDR Tom Downing callsign "Trim" and current CO of "Top Gun".  They also provided some extremely valuable information to finalise my search as to whether he was a naval aviator.

Bodhi, what was the point of even bringing that watermelon up in this thread?  Quit being an ass.
