We've been working on a new voice system for AH that we're planning to implement in the next version. To test this system before we integrate it into AH, we have created a small stand-alone beta version. Once the beta is completed, this separate app will no longer be used and the voice system will be integrated directly into AH using radio 5 like the current implementation.
To take part in this beta, just download this
file. This beta does require DirectX 8.0 or later. It is only 32KB and can be run from any folder on your computer. It runs separately from AH, and can be used with or without an AH session open. If you are joining a voice session, you can either enter the IP address of the host or the session name. Either of these must be provided by the person hosting the session. Everything else should be self-explantory. If you have any questions or bug reports on this beta, please report them in the AH Voice Beta forum. Thanks for your help.
