nerfed rounds?

i didnt even almost do it...i didnt even put a scratch on the paint, no damage what so ever to it.  
i hit the dang thing right b/n wingroots and then again on the tail.

isnt the pilot just on opposite side of where the rings come to the fuselage?  la7 have armour on bottom of a/c?
bahh  forget it, i think Grun may have it right...la7 is the superplane(most think) and my ammo was not the cryptonite.

To respond to the question, I don't think all hits should/would cause damage.
How many times didn't the B-17's walk away after a fearsome attacks?
Maybe the bullets struck the Stabilizer and went right trough, leaving only a hole.

Though anything near the engine/cockpit would do instant damage.
