I just saw Bambi.... Bambi's parents get snuffed in the first reel...

When his car was stolen in 2003 it had two of his pistols inside which are now in the hands of criminals.

Penn is very much 'Pro' Gun Control for all the 'normal' people like you and me, but nor for 'special' people like himself and his friends.

That really is  "Special".....:lol

I didn't get the message from the ending that he was moraly right.  I got the message that what he did was totaly ****ed up and he didn't really take any responsiblity for it and his wife used the situation to solidify her kids more into his life.

If you wanna get all worked up about a movie, watch "Unfaithful".  Holy cow... I was pissed off all the next day after watching that and hated the actress in it  for weeks.

oh ya... and I "almost" felt sorry for Richard Gere"  (did i just say that?)

I thought the movie was good.  I didn't enjoy it though, it destrubed the hell out of me.  I certainly did appreciate the ending, as people pointed out it certainly was't typical Hollywood.

As far as the character played by Penn, he was an *******.  I was left with a feeling of contempt for him, I certainly didn't think he was glorified.  And as for the violence itself, the actual murder was reminicent of the knifing in Saving Private Ryan.  Close, personal and intense.  Certainly not the typical throw-away violence you see coming out of Hollywood.

JB73, you got anger management issues.

Ya know... if Sean Penn's portrayal of a character can elicit this sort of anger from a viewer I think it's commendable.

That's why they call it "acting".

Maybe you do not know what real hate is. If you truely feel it for Penn you need help.

The word hate gets thrown around to much.

Hate is a bad thing.

Hate like love changes your perceptions on things and can lead you into stupid things.

Penn has 2 types of characters he can do.

1) Angry person

2) Retarded person

Neither one makes him act.
I have been reborn a new man!

Notice I never said a better man.
