The results of many surveys like this are always skewed by the survey takers.

How can you do a quality of life survey that doesn't consider national defense? I hope I'm not in Luxemburg next time the germans go german.

Plus... this is just a summary of the survey. To see the results, you must provide $$$.

"Cities are ranked against New York as the base city"

Also how do they define city?

what are the population differences?

I loved Vancouver, especially the street kids burning trash to stay warm in the rain....

Look at that bunch of ladies arguing over something they have not even seen.

I live here, and yes, it has some good sides ($$$) and some bad ones (bars close at 1AM).

The survey included the level of crime as one important factor in the quality of living. It has nothing to do with wealth.

If what siaf says is true, then I'll agree. This place goes hand in hand with Japan, you can walk down the streets wearing only a miniskirt at 3 AM, and nothing will happen to you. There's a lot of pooolice, then ther are the 3 times more numerous private bank armies (read security companies) roaming the streets 24/7.

I'm not much for policed states, but I have to say, I've never been in a safer place ever, and I did move around a bit.

SOB, you need a J.O.B if you wanna beeeee with meeeeee!!! (Then I'll take HALF your sh*t!)

Saint didn't you read the link? It says on the first lines:

Luxembourg ranks as the world’s top city for personal safety and security, according to a quality of life survey by Mercer Human Resource Consulting. The city scores 122.5 followed by Helsinki, Bern, Geneva, and Zurich which take joint second place with scores of 120.
