Garden Bunny?

Looks like the far left, the ACLU (American Communist Liberties Union), and the Atheists are at it again ..........

The Easter Bunny is a vanishing breed.
Not that there's a shortage of 6-foot white rabbits carrying baskets of colored eggs. It's just that Mr. Shopping Mall Bunny is becoming more politically correct.

The bunny at The Gardens mall Easter egg hunt last weekend — oops, make that just plain "egg hunt" — was called Garden Bunny.

"The name just complemented The Gardens of the Palm Beaches," mall Marketing Director Jeannie Roberts said.
Saturday, Baxter the Bunny is available for photos at the Mall at Wellington Green. At Town Center in Boca Raton, Peter Rabbit will hand out goodies and pose for pictures.

Garden Bunny?????????????? wtf! It’s a crying shame that Holidays that we have celebrated in this country for decades are slowly being eradicated by foreign “Johnny Come Latelys” and a small group of ideologists. If the Atheists are upset because they feel left out and don’t have their own holiday well I’m all for giving them one – how about April Fool’s Day. What’s next – a Hammer and Sickle on our flag?

Are you pissed off because St. Nicholas is now called Santa Clause?

The Easter Bunny's origin is in second century Europe, the predominate spring festival at the time was a Saxon fertility celebration in honor of the Saxon Goddess Eastre (Ostara), whose sacred animal was a hare.

eggs associated with other Vernal festivals have been symbols of rebirth and fertility for so long the roots of the tradition are unknown.

Seems like anyone should be able to name these non christian symbols of spring anything they want to.

What will stop it is the pending retirement of close to 70 million baby boomers who will have nothing but time on their hands and a yearning to remember the days of their youth and enjoy the fruits of their retirement.

So when they are sitting around home during the holidays getting ready to visit the kids and all they hear is the PC Secularist Marxist crap that they paid $300,000 for each of their kids to be indoctrinated with in college. They will get rudely awakened and go what the #uck happened??? Then the AARP will begin lobbying for Christmas and all the bad Christian holidays while telling the ACLU to go sit on a short stick and bounce vigorusly.

Ahh but bustr aren't those the same individuals who were the "free thinking" hippies of the 60's and 70's who are now running the political machine of this nation???? The same people who thought that their parents and grandparents political ideas were outdated and wrong.

Now ask yourself again do you really think that the real people of this nation can change what the political leadership has set in motion with the wishes of a few malcontents who have forgotten what sacrifices were made to allow them those freedoms? I hope so but am not going to hold my breath and wait for it to happen. As such get involved in your local political functions now, learn the ropes and work from the inside.

I already got a date with Ostara for Easter! What a BABE! Meeting her in Vancouver and the city government is picking up the check... what a DEAL!

Here is some help for those with reading uncomprehension disorder. The Gardens of the Palm Beaches is a privately owned mall. This means that the mall made an economic decision to broaden Easter to non Christians so that they can sell more products at mall stores (isn't that the point of Easter anyway?) while the children of Jews and Muslims and atheists and Hindus and Moonies, etc. get their photos taken with Baxter the nondenominational Bunny.

You can’t trust that sneaky ACLU though. Just look how they make a mockery out of Santa’s birthday.

Which reminds me ... one time my wife was doing some spring stuff for some Jewish friends which included the seasonal rabbit so she told them it was a Passover Bunny.  Its music box (no lyrics) played Easter Parade, but they didn't recognize the tune.

Or ... maybe they knew all along and were just being kind to their non-Jewish friends?  One never knows.

Easter Bunny and Santa Claus have sufficient non traditional religious origins that they can be more pervasive.  Most peoples seem to celebrate major seasonal milestones.

To me, Dec. 21 is BIG every time the Earth doesn't keep getting darker and colder (Northern Hemisphere bias -- would be June 21 for Southern Hemis).
