You didnt expect it?  How many big celebrities can you think of who have been convicted of a major crime recently?

We missed on OJ.  Nobody could touch Kobe.  I can well remember when Leonard Little ran over a woman and killed her while driving his Lincoln Navigator drunk, and he got nothing but a slap on the wrist.  Every year celebrities get off after committing crimes from drug use/possession to killing people and we dont even blink anymore.

Not that Blake's wife was any prize.  If he hadn't done it someone else would have before long.  Ah well.

dosn't matter if they did the crime, what matters is if the law can prove they did the crime.

The case seemed weak from what I read about it as it progressed.  When the case relied on former stuntmen with big drug histories and such, I kinda figured these guys were cashing in on their 15 minutes of fame.

Im surprised at the verdict, with the PR the way it was these days, he was guilty from the day he was brought in.

Are we still talking about Robert Blake?

I spoke with a friend earlier and predicted that people would trot out the 'no big celebrity gets convicted' statement.  The problem is...  Blake was never a BIG celebrity, and he hasn't been even a small one for years.

As a member of ye' old public, it sounded pretty strange to me too, but the jurors heard stuff we didn't.  I wonder if he actually didn't do it?  I mean, the whole 'I went back for my gun' thing reminds me of the Chewbacca defense.  It's so crazy, how can he be lying?

His lawyer is doing a press confrence now.
I only have one question.

What possesses people to wear bowties?

Outside of wearing one with a Tux does anyone really think they look anything but rediculous wearing them?

Remember they only found that HE didnt pull the trigger and they found him not guilty of soliciting one person and were 1 vote short of finding him not guilty on the other.

That doesnt mean he didnt hire someone else to do it
