Acid Reflux

anyaone ever have this?

i had it a while back, but it cleared up. when i was diagnosed, i got some materials on it, and one suprising thing popped out at me as a cause....

mint gum.

for the past few years i have eaten only the light blue "fresh mint" trident gum. it has a VERY mild mint taste, and helps clean teeth after eating.

the local store has ran out of this gum so i have some plain old mint gum these past 2 days.

chewing it i am getting heartburn right away. it is reall weird, and i can tell it's from the gum.

anyone else have this happen to them? (heartburn from mint)?
I don't know what to put here yet.

Lots of things can trigger it 73.  I've lived with it for years.  It comes and goes.  The biggest trigger?  Gaining weight.  The bigger you get, the more you are likely to have problems.  I've found as I lose weight my problems with acid reflux go down as well.  Which is good, because taking those pills all the time is not only expensive, they can be dangerous if taken over a long period of time.  I've just learned to carry Tums with me wherever I go for a quick calm-down for my stomach.  I never know what will set it off.

No but I get heartburn when I drink Orange Juice. Big Time! But If I fill the cup up with Ice, I dont expereince the problem.

Mountain Dew or any Citrus Soda is the same way, but as I said add a little Ice and I'll be ok.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
