the center grid of Ford Island blinks on and off when on the ground or below 200ft. any ideas how to fix this?
it seems like its touching a grid line but I checked and its not. There are a few hangars that are touching the gridline, but they are not part of that central object so I dont know what is causing it

placing a land tile under it wont solve my problem, then stuff like trees or hills will be sticking up and i dont want that

also that is the only section doing this, the other sections were made the same way and dont do it

Raptor, I made Ford Island In the old TE. I had some simular problems. I'll assume you used a default void like I did and changed the BMP for it? If so, If the new TE works in anyway like the old one You also need to change the Alpha tile. I had the same thing happening to me but only on one side not all four like yours.

I'm trying to remember what I did to fix it.

I'll have an answer soon, If that damn Pokie doesn't beat me to it:)

NUTTZ

P.S. BTW what are you going to do about the ships docked at the peirs south of Ford island? I made that tile also, It's perfect in scale and placement. I'll dig this up also.

I burnt everything I did in the TE to DVD's sortin' them out as I go.

I made a .txt file and put an index number in to show the transparencies, but I did this for all 7 sections of the Island, why is it that this is the only one messing up?

Do you have the .res map available for download somewhere?

May require actual Ford Island center piece to try it in the editor for a better look.

Its something wrong with that whole section of the island and not just the sides.
The picture I showed has 3 pictures taken with about 5 second intervols between them and have not moved or changed views. Its like trying to watch tv and the show is coming in but with alot of static

Raptor can you give a link for your map, or maybe you could upload it onto NHawk's helpful web site http://www.ah-terrains.com/

Well Raptor I would say IMHO that it's not a clipping problem from placing the shape in the TE, but a problem while making it in the OE.

I'm a rookie with the OE ........... actually, a rookie is too high of a position :D , but I'm getting close to getting my feet wet.

Have you tried redoing this center section in the OE again and double checking the settings to that of the other sections.  You could just try with just the basic layout just for testing.

Was this set as a runway?

Group Master and put invisible dirt runways over the runway, that one roo sent you I forgot to set the runways as runways so it says you ditch when landing but I already changed that (and cut down on the amount of ack in the harbor)
