Weekend report with your host Pyro
« on: October 10, 1999, 10:44:00 PM »
We'll be putting out a new version soon, probably within the next couple of days.

The new version should hopefully fix some of the lockups that some people get upon quitting the game.  "Hopefully" because we can't duplicate the problem to verify but HT thinks he caught it.

The problem with white-outs on certain video cards should be fixed.

A problem on the host that was keeping destroyed objects from rebuilding was fixed today.

HT also wrote more joystick support today.  There are now 4 stick set configurations supported and all buttons are now supported, not just 8.

There's some problems with plane visibility at range and we've found part of the cause.  As for the big blocks in the distance, don't worry about that for now.  That's not the problem I'm referring to here, but we'll get to that too.

Ogre's pretty much finished up his work on the terrain.  We've just got to finish tagging some objects and then we'll release that.  There will still be some refinement in the terrain to come, but that will wait for some changes to the editor.

There's a bunch of other small bug fixes and changes as well.

Superfly and Natedog started on two new planes Friday.  Superfly is working on the N1K2 and Natedog is working on the Fw 190A-8.  We had to delay the C.205 because the references we need have not arrived yet.
