Get behind it and push it out moose. You might have to take the undercover off, prolly 10mm bolts and/or clips. you can use a hairdryer to get the plastic more workable. If I wrote an estimate on it I'd figure a new cover. You'd prolly look at 300-450 bucks.

I'm with Bluedog. Looks the right size/height/shape for it.

That bumper cover is just plastic, but once its creased like that it's always going to look messed up. That's pretty low, so I highly doubt it would've damaged the absorber or reinforcement. Luckily, a bumper cover for a Honda can be gotten for about $100. Add in paint & install, maybe $250 or so depending on the shop.

Not the exact model, but pretty close:

Almost looks like she drug it on a curb backing out. indy007, a shop would starve at that rate. I thought lowballed it.:)  You're looking in the neighborhood of 550-580 bucks moose to have it fixed right. That's going by our rates here and all.

Rates around here for prep & paint are $50/hr & bodywork for $40/hr seems to be the average. I'm not an estimator by any means, so I tend to quote the "Hey, wanna make a quick buck?" prices without realising it :) Hell, my last timing job only cost me $20 + parts.

I seriously doubt the quality of the paint job at that price.

Those avg. prices here are at shops I'd feel comfortable taking my car to for insurance work. Out of pocket, I'll always pay one of the body men on the side (because I have that luxury). I'm pretty picky too. Houston overall has fairly good prices on most anything. I haven't even paid over $1.80 for gas yet.

Moose if your friend wants a quick cheap fix take a hot air gun and heat that bumper cover in the damaged area. you want it hot enuff that you can barly touch it but not hot enuff to wrinkle the paint, then reach behind and push it out and let it cool. it should return to its original contur.

I see some snow in the background of the first pic....

My wife caved in the lower right corner of the front piece by hitting the snow bank that had been created by the plows, then froze over night.  She didn't realize she'd hit anything/damaged the bumper til she saw it the next morning.

Even though I like my errant bobsled theory, I think Caveman landed on it. I can't get my head around not hearing the striking of some animal, but creeping up on a pile of snow while parking...

It'd be gentle, quiet, cause the shape pictured, and you'd likely attribute the loss of forward momentum to loss of traction.

Look at the car in the background in the 1st pic. It's likely got a matching dent. :)

The wife said she felt the bump, but chalked it up to hitting the brakes too hard and not paying enough attention.  That'd do it.  I could snag I pic or two of the Cavalier in the morning for comparison...

One thing though, the paint on the Cavalier cracked/peeled and it's obvious something was hit.

quick guess-
My guess would be somebody mis-judged her clearence while parking in a lot that has those little landscaping islands.  the ones that are surounded by a wall that is about 2 railroad-ties high.
