when hank got close to the babe, he started to get hounded, now that bonds is getting close, the heat has been turned up.  hmmm?  and of course his HRs have went up, played in 3 rivers, terrible HR park, now he is in a park built for him to hit HRs in, and he does.  now, im not saying his numbers would necessarily of went up like they did(HR numbers) but they would of went up.  and as somebody mentioned, the talent is definitely not what it used to be, especially in the pitching department. ok, im done.

What was bad about Three Rivers? only 400 in center 375 alleys & 335 lines.  The Polo Grounds was a bad HR hitter's park...'roids = batspeed = time to wait on the pitch = batting average & homers...I think Ted Kluszewski was juiced also.

Proved my point....when he left Pittsburg he wasn't Conan the Barbarian.  Muscle mass takes time to build done normally. Diet and exercise can do it.  Much harder to do also as one ages. Take a look at the numbers of the greats in their latter years.  Nature takes it's toll.....always has...always will.  Steroid use also takes it's toll on the body.  Causes injuries to take longer to heal.....can also make one more prone to injury.  Steroids can be used for medicinal purposes.  Cancer patients frequently are given them so as to not drop massive amounts of weight going through Chemo Therapy.

Like Canseco stated during the Congressional Hearings as he bent forward over the table and stated " Evidently I was the only one in baseball that took Steroids."

He cheated........he got caught.  Baseball SHOULD adopt the Olympic Steroid Policy as should all Sports.

Here is an example of a statement by a Hall of Fame Pitcher.  His name is Bob Feller.  Great Baseball players are the complete package.  Not just great hitters (without roids) they are leaders as well as outstanding fielders, Hitters and baserunners.

Bob Feller was asked if he would be afraid to face Jose Canseco with the bases loaded in his book And now pithcing Bob Feller.
Mr Feller stated" I wouldn't be afraid to face Canseco.....he'd hold the bat at the bottom and swing his guts out to hit a homerun. I'd be afraid more of Nellie Fox....who'd choke up, cut his swing and do anything in the world to bring a run home.  Canseco I'd strike out.

That's the difference between Then and Now.  Bandboxes, juiced balls, better living through chemistry.  Lower Pitchers mound and pitching quality.  Might have 3 great Pitchers now at the most playing.  In the 60's and 70's I can name a bunch.

proved your point?  so i take it they had the same work ethic (babe ruth) and specialized training like they do now?  dont think so.  i think 18 years is plenty of time to get it naturally.  once again, not saying he didnt do them, but the argument over size difference between now and 18 years ago is garbage.

how many pirates, when there was 3 rivers ever hit 40+ homeruns in it?  could probably count them on one hand, but ill say two to be safe.  3 rivers just was not a homerun park and it sure of heck wasnt built for any one player, then alone bonds to hit homeruns in.

Jose canseco was never anywhere near the contact hitter bonds was even early in bonds career.  over 18 years i would expect him to get better, more patient at the plate.  canseco was an overhyped rob deer, he would either hit a homerun or strikeout, generally speaking of course.  so there should be no comparison between bonds and canseco, 2 different levels of talent, with or with out roids.

if roids are made him so great in late age, why has he gotten slower, and not as good in field.  he went from a base stealing threat (hence only 500hr and 500 stolen run guy in history) and gold glover to neither?  age.

just for clarification, im not saying he did, or did not do roids.  but, i believe if he did, it was prolly between 2000-2003 seasons.  and that the arguements that he did, are almost all garbage.  his size between now and then:rolleyes:   he is better in his late age than should be:rolleyes: (pitching overall now sux, and would expect him to become better hitter, especially in park built with him in mind)    and then there is the leaked "sealed" court document, which said what it said.  he may have, he thought something else...that may be the best evidence against him, but without all of it, which will im sure come out at end of this balco investigation, we wont know whole truth, just what media wants us to know.  you know, he is closing in on babe ruth;)
