Kanttori asked me to do a Soviet Boston in a summer scheme for his FinRus map. It's up at the Skin Department if you want to take a closer look.

I wasn't able to find an interesting Northern Russia scheme that worked, so I went for this one from the Black Sea Fleet Air Force. The turret was added by the Soviets to give it a bit more protection.

I've just copied the colours directly from the profile, as the ones shown at Skinner's Heaven looked a bit weird. If anyone has a better source for these colours please let me know.

Sure love the camo scheme.  The colors blend very well, pleasing to the eye.  Yet another job well done Greebness :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was originally looking for accurate RGB values for the colours listed on the first profile Straffo. The second profile you posted appears to be the same aircraft but with different colours. It looks like the original USAAF olive drab and grey scheme with a disruptive green layer painted over the top surfaces. I was trying to get away from olive drab A-20 schemes though. The question is, is one of the profiles wrong or was this aircraft repainted at some point?

I don't know if one or the other profile is wrong or both wrong or both right
Mine come from an article in "Avions" by Vladimir Kotelnikov.

I'll ask Boroda to make a search I think only a russian can clear this.

Thanks for all your trouble Straffo. I suspect from all your sources that the profile I used is not correct and yours is but there is no way to tell for sure. They were probably both interpreted differently from some black and white photo. I'll see what Kanttori thinks, as its for his map after all.

Oh jeez, I better start installing my joystick..

I'm a true russian pilot now..

Funny how I loved flying the russian planes in the finn russland maps and now i'm a soviet reenactor..
