Coin-op games today

I walk into an arcade nowaday and none of the games look any fun.  The graphics are so way ahead of what we had growing up but they are so lame in gameplay.  I miss the magic of Armor Attack or B-17 Bomber.  Remember that football game with the metal wheels you rotated as fast as possible?  Galaga, Galaxian, Warlords...great games all.  But god did I hate Donkey Kong and Dig-Dug, never understood why they were so popular.  Oh yeah Time Pilot was awesome.

I loved the Star Wars X-Wing game that had white lines for graphics. Used to spend hours playing that thing.

I recieved one of those as a 15th Bday gift. fun game, even bought the Empire Strikes Back boards for it. Seems arcade games are no fun anymore unless you know how to dance.

Agreed walked throuhg an arcade just for chuckles a few weeks ago and came to the same conclusion.
Give me Star wars, Lunar lander, Asteroids or even any of the old Commodore 64 games like "Summer Games"(or any of the games series)," BC Quest for tires and "Grogs Revenge"  over any of this overdone stuff out now. The graphics may be better now but they all seem to be missing  "it"

Even the pinball machines dont look as much fun as they used to be.
I miss my "Pinball wizard" and "Harlem Globetrotters"

We were obsessed about one called "Speed."

A driving game, top-down view, 4 steering wheels sticking out of it... crappy graphics.... but intense once ya started to get good at it.

Was that the one you would spin the wheel to go around corners? Like spin it like a top?

Yup. Spin the thing, car goes sideways, squeak through the hairpin, drive over the turbo symbol, punch it.
