NVidia Digital Vibrance :)

Looking at my NVIDIA GeForce settings I found a section called "Color Correction"

In there is a setting called "Digital Vibrance" that one can slide to different settings.

I thought I give it a try and put my on medium.

WOW

The collors just jump out, and AH2 looks refreshing.

You either hate it or love it me thinks.

Give it a try :aok

Dont know if Radeon driver has similair settings

Yeah the vibrance enriches the colors quite much. Radeon doesn't have such an option although the 3D desktop can be tweaked almost similarly.

Speaking of Nvidia Video cards, I was wondering if there are any tricks to get the best performance out of them when running Aces High.  I have a Geforce FX 5600 Ultra, and I am not sure I am getting the best performance out of it.  Any keys, tricks, drivers that I should be trying?  I will search the tech support pages as well.

In display, under advance, under g-force tab.   there is several settings that help FR and performance and the likes.  First make sure you have the latest Nv Drivers.  The newest drivers I have at the moment is dated 7/04  ver. 6176 .  there may be newer ones by now.

Think i go check it out!

If there is a newer one ill edit this post and advise, unless you already know.  then dont matter anywho.  ltrs!

There is a new version 71.84, but its not recomended by skuzy in "Technical Support "forum.

I did try it and game started to freez on me from time to time.

Lucky me who is using XP, so I was able to roll back the driver in a nano second :D

Thanks, Dipper, good tip for some of the enhanced computer settings we too often miss.

Researched it on Google and found this Nvidia page explaining its Digital Vibrance:  http://www.nvidia.com/object/feature_dvc.html

Tried it at a couple intensities, and quickly found that High was too intense for my taste.  Medium was good but had color photos looking a bit too red.

I've settled for the Low setting as a general overall enhancement.  Great to have so much control over computer visuals.

Dipper,

When you say: 'Lucky me who is using XP, so I was able to roll back the driver in a nano second '

Are you therefore saying that using the system restore function set to a previous date eliminates all traces of subsequent unwanted drivers?

That would be too cool.
