Zeno's: The Warbird Collection DVD Library
« on: March 25, 2005, 09:12:57 PM »
Has anyone purchased this yet from Zeno's Warbirds?  Or any other items from Zeno's?  I just bought the Warbird collection and it should be here in a few days hopefully.  Good thing considering I've got a week off to watch them all.  It comes with over 1155 pages worth of original manuals for a variety of aircraft.  Hopefully it's got some good info in them.

It's a great price considering they normally want 390 bucks for them all.  I got them for a little over 210 with shipping and handling plus a seperate disk with all the manuals on it.

I've purchased a couple of the warbirds DVD's from Zenos. Once, I thought there was a glitch in one of the DVD's, and e-mailed him to that effect.  However, the next day when I watched it, it worked fine.  I e-mailed him to tell him that it was ok, and he said that he'd already sent a replacement DVD.  Talk about fast service!  The new DVD arrived a day or so later, but since mine was working ok, I returned it to him.
I plan to buy some more of the wwII aircraft series from him, but right now $$$ is the only thing slowing me down.

Excellent and fast customer service!!!

I have the P40, P38, P51 videos (original training videos plus the "extras".  Be aware the "manuals" are all .pdf's, but they are copies of originals.  Its just a pain viewing them in the little (for me) Acrobat Reader window.

Well I ordered the whole warbird package and hopefully the content will be very informative.  I'm curious about the manuals.  Are they fairly clear to see and read overall?  I ordered the manuals on a seperate disk.  Also are the films fairly clear and not garbled much because of their age?

I figured for the price of the warbird collection I might as well get everything they have now.  If they come out with any more stuff then I'll just have to purchase them at a later date.  It's great to hear they have excellent customer service there.  I'm figuring I probably won't get the DVDs till Tuesday.  Unless ofcourse they send stuff out on Saturdays and then I might get them Monday.

Cobra, if you like watching old WWII era documentaries and movie shorts, you'll love this stuff.  The training videos are priceless.  They are the actual training videos they showed to new pilots.  A little corny in some spots, but then thats the 40's for ya.  The manuals are very clear and easy to read, at least the ones I have are.  My gripe is with the Acrobat Reader, not the copies they give you.  The originals must have been in excellent condition.

Try this site too, they have copies of not just pilot manuals, but in many cases they have repair and maintenance manuals as well.

Matter of fact, I'm ordering the Corsair vs Zero guncam film from them tonight lol.  Free preview.............
