Seems to me The Iraqi's, Somali's, Taliban were supplied with RPG's, Ak74's, and AK47's. I'd say the SOLE reason Russia refuses to help (Ukraine has) is the sole fact, the gravytrain of arms sales ground to a halt.

Ignorance at it's best.
USSR stopped selling arms to Iraq immediately after the Iran-Iraq war began. It was (and still remains) a state policy. We don't supply aggressors.
99% of AK you see on TV in all the countries you mentioned were made in China, Romania and othe countries.
Even T-72s Saddam had were made in Poland.
Most of Russian export to Iraq was oil drilling equipment. I am tired of repeating it.
Afghanistan again... Noone in the West seems to remember the Russian participation in a war against Taliban (that was BTW supported by US and Pakistan from the very beginning). Northern Alliance asked for old Soviet equipment, like T-55 tanks and BMPs, not speaking about small arms and ammunition. They know that equipment and it's much more reliable then Western technological miracles. Russian 203th Division build two pontoon bridges across Pianj river and sent requested supplies from Tajikistan. For free. BTW, many Northern Alliance officers still speak good Russian and are very thankful for our assistance.
