thx a lot for the help guys
As I understand it, ToD isn't actually so much as another game, but a specialized application of this game.
Imagine being able to log into an arena where you are recognized by how much experience you have within that arena, and what record of success.
An arena where you don't simply choose wherever you wish to fly from and then launch whatever aircraft you want in which you may prettythang around however you like.
As in real life, you fly structured missions, in specified aircraft, as an individual within a cogent unit, as a member of a combatant element, and are evaluated both as to your success in achieving your objectives and whether or not you/your aircraft survived and RTB'ed.
That, as I understand it, is how Aces High will perform in its ToD arenas.
A
VERY rudimentary version of this concept (structured missions only) was once tried at Air Warrior and in both my opinion and that of many others was a very enjoyable way to play the game.
YMMV

culero (eagerly awaits ToD)
