Last night I made a film of an unknown con on the OzKansas map. I could never get close enough to get an icon. As soon as I would dive, the *dot* would take off at mach 10, fly below me, then zoom up to just under the cloud layer, then drop back down to about 2k alt behind me.

Wierdest part is on the film only me and a fellow Rook show up on the right side of the viewer. The other Rook is in an lvt at a listed altitude of 4. Even the *dot* that I chase around doesnt show up. Anyone else ever see this phenomenon?

It's the dot bug.  Happens to me sometimes when I come to the MA from another arena.  It's also a common bug in the Finn/Russ map.  Best way to fix it is completely exit AH and come back in.

I don't know about the mach 10 part but I'll second the dot bug notion. Happens when I click on the main arena by accident and then hop into the CT. I'll see them from far away but when within icon range they disappear.

This dot never disappeared. Otoh I could never get into icon range either.

Elfie I've got like 2 or 3 films showing the same thing. I saw a dot low on the deck which I thought may be a goon trying to sneak our field. I raced over to it and when I got to the point where I should be seeing an icon it started to slowly speed up then raced at a steep angle and went out of sight.  

What was weird is the dot wasn't stationary. I was tracking it low across the deck. I saw it at a particular field a few times and I filmed each encounter. Everytime though it was moving as if it were an aircraft.

Did those dots show up on film? Mine didnt. The dot was never stationary for me either. Accelerated like it was shot out of a cannon too.
