When are you guys going to fix the clouds? Yeah they look pretty and stuff, but when one flies into them, they shouldn't be able to see anything. The way I would have accomplished this is by having the screen fade to grey as we enter the cloud, instead of killing the framerates. I'm the not only one that has the problem of not seeing in the form of a framerate of 2.

Please get this taken care of.

Just a few quick questions that I would like answered, though.

What was so bad about AH1? Couldn't there have been planes added to it, instead of bringing in AH2 and all this beta testing that the aces high community is paying you guys to do ?

If I remember correctly somebody said the graphic engine of AH1 locked the graphics so that they could not be upgraded past a certain point. With the newer codes and what not AH2 will always be upgradeable.

Of course I could be out an out wrong on all accounts and I apologize in advance if I am remembering the wrong information. If that turns out to be the case I'm sure somebody will give you a better/ correct answer.

First of all, if your framerates are that low at any point in the game you have more issues than clouds. You should try optimizing your system for gameplay. If it already is, and you just cant afford to upgrade, I feel your pain but stay out of the clouds if they do that. Its like the old joke where the guy says Doc it hurts when I do this. Dont do that.

Second, its being worked on.

Third, and I'm going to say this in the nicest possible way because I'm not trying to start a war here, but you really should learn to use the search button.

Fourth, if you really want to post something that gets answers and results, remember that its not so much what you say but how you say it that flavors your responses. An thats all I'm gonna say about that.

tell us how you really feel. I don't like it when people hold back.

I've heard that there are programs that can help you tune up windows. Can anyone point me in the right direction to one of the better ones? I know there's a few that would say google it (Star of America2), but that just gives me a bunch of crap that I don't want to sort through.

Sure. If you go to the Technical Support forum, there are stickies at the top of the forum that have oodles of information on "tuning" windows, and links to websites that tell you all kinds of good stuff. If you like, I can also give you links for tuning video setups to make the most of online gaming.

Ya know, I have never had a problem with the clouds. Come to think of it, i have pretty much no complaints (other than they took away night time) about AH2. Good job to the AH2 team:aok

I wish they were more like the AH1 clouds, but people complained. So until they update them, we are stuck with what we have now. Not that they dont look good from a distance, but you cant play hide and seek in them like we used to. That was some fun. Ah well. Take my own advice and just be patient lol.

Bang out the coad and send it to HT ... I am sure he will plug it in for the next release.

Probably, but HT and crew would probably be out of business within the next year or so.

Don't want to participate ... don't pay your $14.95 ... and wait till its not under development anymore ... but then again ... programs/games such as this are constantly under development so you might not ever get to play again.

How about you ask/tell Bill Gates the same thing ... if you paid for Windows, did you know that you are providing the same service for MicroSoft as you are for Aces High ... so, un-install Windows and wait until it's in a stable state and not under developement anymore and you aren't testing it in some manner or form.

Ugh i can't believe some of you guys think the clouds look good right now... have you flown through them at all? they are 2 dimentional planes... they might look marginal from far away, but you gotta be kidding if they look good up close..

HT those clouds are great. Even flying straight into them I get a nice grey out of my windscreen, But when I look any direction other than straight I see the same thing Nuke describes. Vertical panes that have no substance. I can see clear land btween the sheets so to say. So yes when you are up close/ flying in and in them they have no density or substance.

I'll try to get a screeny next time and post. Maybe its a setting or something I dont have correct.

Hmm.. maybe im missing something.. my trees definately dont look like those and the clouds there look pretty decent.. i dunno what the deal is.. but whenever i fly through the clouds and either look up or down, there is no clouds... just a 2 dimentional plane that is 'painted' per se like a cloud.. no puffy/fluffy effect whatsoever.. but don't get me wrong HiTech.. LOVE the game btw.. good work..
