Dueling partner
« on: April 11, 2005, 10:09:51 PM »
I am looking for a dueling partner. There are particular things I wish to work on to improve my skills. At this point I prefer a seasoned vet as oppossed to someone who is relatively new, or just has average skills.

I am looking to work on my rolling scissors and merge. There was a 3rd item but for the life of me I cant recall it atm heh.

Just showing up in the DA and asking for duels has not worked for me. I just dont get any duels :(

You're plenty "vet" enough, Elfie.  Just show up, and I'm sure the BKs will let you in on the fun.

I used scissors on kindergarten once...  But just the plastic ones... Mom said I was too young for the big boy metal scissors.

I think I'm gonna start going into the DA a little more.  I need better track shoes if I'm gonna hang out in the DA.  Need a freakin jet to run guys down in there  :aok

When I said I was leaving, I meant it and left immediately, so I didnt see Xj say anything about joining.

I might be readin you wrong, or you might be reading me wrong. In any case, seasoned vets are what I am looking to duel. I am very confident I can beat all but the top echelon of pilots in the MA. Dueling someone with a lower skill level than mine is not what I am looking for. I am looking to duel (and hopefully learn) from a better stick on a regular basis, not just a one night stand.

There are a couple of seasoned vets I have pestered to get them in the DA, alas....to no avail yet. :(

*edit* P.S. Although same-plane match ups are good I am also looking more for dis-similar aircombat. Oh yeah, I just remembered the 3rd thing I want to work on. I need work being in the disadvantaged position, especially when I am in a 109F, Hurri C vs the late war track stars.

I consider us about equal in skill levels. I really feel like I need to be dueling someone with a higher skill level than mine. No offense intended :)

Elfie, dunno if i'm vet enough. But i'll duel. That i don't mind. Look me up. Don't think i ever fought you. Dunno if i'm one of the "higher skilled" people but i hold my own against them.

hehe Oops!  In my drunken haze, I somehow meshed together Elfie's and Batfink's posts together.  So in my mind, I had Elfie wanting to duel top notch players but not knowing he was vet enough to do it.
