CTD Issue

Had this happen 2x in a row...


Augered a damaged plane on feild, choose a panzer spawnd "H" and CTD'd, which left a blue screen (same color as an Empty AH world) over my wallpaper.

Rebooted, did same - augered a  damaged plane on feild 61, clicked "H" to spawn from hanger - CTD  with same blue screen.

Flew in a damaged 190A5, missing one ailoron and some holes in the wing.
About 8 miles off my base with 8mins of fuel left on my way home.
Suddenly i find myself on the desktop, no warning nothing and no error message. No idea of the cause.

Only crash i had in about 4 hours of playing.

Had same CTD, different cause -

Was level bombing in TBM, had calibrated - went to ground vis mode from 10k..transmitted on vox,  was recieveing reply; zoomed full in..... "]" key...ctd on keystroke. Same Blue screen.

Had CTD when I selected a p38g and went on the runway.

Tried to duplicate but used default skin and no problem?

2 CDT's  last night both times was over a base bout to drop ord..

was not hitting any buttons at the time

the third time it happened i was in hangar  chose my plane, went to hit tower and  all of a sudden a white screen poped up and comp froze. Other squad mates had the same thing happen in tower while trying to launch or in flight.

There is defenatly a bug causing CTD's. Going to try trap it out today. Any other information suronding the CTD is very helpfull in trying to repoduce it.

OK..Yesterday i closed in on a lanc formation(in fwa5 or a8)..got close was pourin it in..then screnn froze....had to hit reset button on pc

That has never happened before..

Was low on the deck in 190F8 over enemy airfield. Looked back and immediatly locked up and CTD'd.

Also, now when I try to go into 1280x960 resolution it always crashes at startup. Forced to use 1024x768.

AMD-64 3400+, 6600GT, 1.5GB RAM.

Makarov9:From the desk top check if your card suports 1280x960, if it does not, you could edit your video8.cfg file to be 1280X1024 which was the old size.

I was wondering about the screen size issue in video set up....

1024x768, ect... all widescreen format.  Was looking for 1280x1024..



One issue not sure if connected to the CTD or a symptom, ect...

Is when Vox recieved or transmitted and I'm using the hat for views - sometime the views will "lock" or freeze for a bit. Doesnt seem to do it unless there is something on vox.

did it again this time i was in tower hit NE on clipboard and got a blank white screen   it did let me close the game TO DESKTOP with out rebooting

Had a CTD while unconscious with pilot wound.  I was in a fight, so I could have gotten the CTD as I was being killed.

EDIT: was flying C205.  1600x1200 resolution.  1024 textures.  NV6800 GT.  Before the CTD I saw the big black walls (field gun texture?) that other people have reported.  But the walls went away before the CTD occurred.   Lots of stuttering right before big black walls appeared.

At A61 had 3x CTD's and many UDP losses, CTD's were prior to any UDP loss though.

All the CTD's happened after my Hurri 2D was shot down, and I just clicked the NE runway button, then bam, right to desktop.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering where the heck my 1280x1024 res was at. Ok will edit my .ini when I get home.
