I don't really want to start a flame war here , but I disagree that the music industry is wrong here.
Sure new talent is relying more and more on the internet to get exposure. Once a little name recognition is achieved, then they have the right to start charging for their new music. This is a huge advantage over the old days when a few cronies had a say over what we all were exposed to.
Let's put this in the context of HTC. Aces High has a two week trial period. If you want to continue, it's going to cost you $30/month. Doesn't sound unreasonable to me, but others may think that, since they can download demo of other games and play (in limited manner) for free for forever, they should be able to with Aces High.
I don't think that HTC would be too happy if someone reverse engineered the AH server interfaces and started using the AH FE to run their own on-line sim, either.
