Hires field maps (note: large image attached)
« on: April 17, 2005, 01:05:02 PM »
I'm working on a new set of field maps. They're meant for printing etc... They'll be BIG and they'll be pretty :) .

I'll post a compressed jpg image here, so you can get an idea where I'm going with them. Please give me feedback, if you have any. Keep in mind that if your suggestion implies lots and lots of work, I won't do it ;)

Absolutely awesome!!!!!! We used similar maps in AH I with the hangers all numbered. This makes a joint raid or large squad op much more effective by calling out or assigning numbered hangers. Please release these soon!!!:D  We need em!

Thanks for your work on these btw and for sharing your creation. We will dedicate the first rook base totaly pummeled to you :aok

I've already got all the AH2 maps done up like this. No one seemed to care so I never bothered posting them all. I also made up mission sheets with the same maps on them and they had signature boxes for the mission planners. That way they could scribble down the person who's responsible for each item during a raid and they could check off whats been destroyed.

That's fantastic, thanks for the effort.

The only suggestion I have is that they also need to be converted to appropriately-sized *.bmp files for use as clipboard maps.

Very nice jodgi, they look great!
I'll take a copy.

Cobra, if you've got some I'd love to see/use them also.  Anyone who takes the time to fix up the maps and post them is worth a look.

Thanks guys!

Good work! One suggestion I could make is that you color the manable acks differently from otto.

Just a thought...

Icons were in the adjustment stage. The maps were also the early version of the fields. I'd have to adjust them to the new layouts.

In game map.

Tactical map for mission planners. Map could be laminated. Use dry erase pens or wax pencils to annotate pilots and intact/destroyed objects.

Thanks for the replies!

I'll cater to all your wishes as they were quick and easy.

It'll be a few days until they're all ready, I'm afraid.

Or, I could simply resize:

I feel that readability suffers with this option, what would you prefer?
