DOH. sorry. I guess when the BBS connection went south it got the topic , but no content.

Was at the car wash yesterday when I heard a pretty opened exhaust of a nicely tuned Chevy. Turned around and it was an Austin Healey/Chevy conversion.
Was pretty sharp. It was a reddish maroon with twin silver flake stripes, chrome wire wheels, etc.
First one I have seen in this area.

Damn you Jackal, this could have been one of the more entertaining threads if you hadnt filled us all in on what the point was. I imagine it would have been alot like a bunch of guys getting invited to a party and showing up but the owners not home.

jakal... lot's of guys I know in the modified Healey club live in Texas.... Texas is a very civilized place for people like me.

When I went to the last con in Dallas one of the guys picked me up in a nice 60 3000 with a 350 and five speed and we went to a local hangout with about 5 of the modified guys cars there ... I got to drive 5 V8 healeys that night..

Mine is a pretty radical 331 chevy with a muncie and narrowed chevy rear but it is the old "superman" model 55 with fold down windshield... go to the modified Healey site to see a couple hundred of em.

Yea, I hear where you coming from.
It was just pretty unusual to see one in this area.
It was sorta like the `56 Ford Pu I had with a 440 in it. Sort of unusal around here. :)
