the vehicle has impressive characteristic, at least on paper.
inventor won some MIT prize.
also, it's supposed to come in production this year or the next, pretty affordable and extremely easy to fly.
again, these are his claims.

Moller is a blowhard. He's been promising flying cards 'in just a few years' since before I was born.

His current rotary beast has been flying around on tethers for over a decade now, with no real sign of 'taking off' anytime soon.

I'd love to see his car succeed, but... there's a point where you stop listening. He's like a reverse chicken little, except he never falls into the sky.

I'd buy stock ahead of time in Raytheon, maker of the popular AIM-9 family of cheap, easy to install air to air missiles. Pull over for road rage? Just drop 2 feet and veer into them. Those blade tips will remove the problem, and ground cleanup will be a snap as the offending person will be scattered over a few acres.

Wish that I had $50 Grand to throw away on a toy, I'd buy one. I bet maintenence costs are a biatch, tho.

I wish I had the 50 large as well rpm. Maintenance does not look too bad. I do not know what the normal service life for the rotor's are though. I would imagine those would be the most costly part of maintaining it.
