Well Sawito .. pope must be strong leader... former member of Hitler jungen (i think we can call him proper SS, coz he was 20 years old at that time.. not "jungen" anymore IMO :D ) is an excelent adept.

I should rather say, that my german friends > rather < dont know that guy and they are not happy about it at all ..

As far as I can tell the Pope is still a Cardinal and is also Archbishop of Rome.

The pope is a joke. The pope is just a man elected by other men....and once elected by men, he becomes "holy" for some reason.

Well im atheist, not theologist, but i dont think , that pope become a holy person automaticaly.

no pope is holy.....just a man. no man can be holy according to the bible.....but then, catholics don't really derive much from the bible that I can tell.

Well I work with British, German, Spanish and Italian people and they seem happy about the new Pope.  The German's I work with seem content with his appointment and some knew of him before but then again he is Bavarian and I work in Bavaria!  He was one of the most senior advisors to the old Pope so some already knew him for that (for instance if there was a senior Czech Cardinale then you'd probably know about him!) :)

Anyway, doesn't really bother me, I'm not Catholic! :p
