Rocket Question
« on: April 23, 2005, 01:31:05 PM »
Any idea how to increase the number or rockets available in offline for practice purposes?

Any guidelines for aiming the things?

Blacklab, not sure in offline world.  However, in Traning Arena u can have full load of rockets, and when u are on rocket mode a floating cross hairs will appear to help u with targeting.  Hope that helps a little :)

You currently can't put an infinite ammout of ordnance on your plane. That'd be a nice feature tho. Something like a .reload command. For offline of course!

There's a training sight you can use to develope a better technique for dropping bombs or firing the rockets. It only works offline or in the TA. To turn it on bring up the clipboard. Click on setup/arena settings/ flight mode flags. There's a box there that says "dive bomb sight". Check it. Now when you've loaded bombs or rockets and select them as your secondary weapon a green cross will show in front of you that indicates where your ordnance would hit if you'd dropped it right now.

]Hope that helped,

Drano

Thanks Drano I did not see this when I replied in the other thread
the cross really seems to vary with rockets which is what I am trying to learn to aim

It varies because rockets don't just fall like bombs--they're propelled. So they have a flatter trajectory.
