>>but eight Rooks chasing after one wounded enemy bomber at sea level is just our "style".<<

Hehe, and one of the dumbest approaches to tactics I, or anyone else has ever seen. Rooks have more kill stealers than ever before also, and dumb (%%^&)'s are on the rise in recent months. For example:
There is an art to setting up a base to vulch it; the quality of our vulchers seem to have diminished. No longer do many Rooks hit a base and make sure the acks are down; hehe, now they cruise around at 20 to 10k over the base and dip down on the base to snipe at an nme upping. Towns are left up and troops are dropped on the field instead of the town.
Methinks the Nits or Bish have poisoned our gene pool ;(
But hope springs eternal :aok

I tend to go where the numbers are lowest.....and without fail, the conversation is ALWAYS the same.

"We're not organized, are always this way!  I think I'll go cause they know how to work together!"

I think the more important question is.  Are YOU having fun?

Well, from what I see in the MA, there's already about a dozen Supreme Commanders in each country. At least in their own minds.

We'll probably have to sort that out first.

In the meantime, I'm going to post a mission, since everyone screams for that too.

Feel free to copy my mission and distribute it amongst your countrymen.
Here it is:

"The mission of the Air Force is to fly and to fight, and don't you forget it."

This mission is usually attributed to Air Force Chief of Staff Gen John P. McConnell, but I don't think he'd mind if we followed his mission plan.

I think this mission would vastly improve gameplay.

Feel free to post it in the MA as often as you like.

Supreme Commander needs to have his own chat font/color and a way to issue directives that stay in the chat buffer (maybe top of it when you hit the ` key) so people can refer to it.

Rooks..

lol this is funny. People wanna complain about Rooks not working together and stuff like that. I tell ya why...

Right now, especially as of late, there has been a line drawn in the sand and the fighters or on one side, and bombers are on the other. All the bombers want to do is kill the fighter hangars. That's all the worry about. Now I'm not saying all, but most. When the bombers kill the FHz it pushes the fighters away cuz there's nothing for them to do. Which in turn causes a lack of cap for the bombers, which means the base doesn't get taken.

You wanna give the rooks a kick? Try killing the VH, and the town. Leave the fighter hangars up so the fighters have something to do why the bombers do their thing. When the bombers take out the FHz and not the VH, that just causes the people in the fighters who were upping in planes to now up in vehicles, which the fighters are once again discouraged by. And for those pilots that don't up in vehicles, they'll up from a back base and come in with more alt, which causes more problems than those who were upping from the field.

Bases used to get taken without killing the fighter hangars, so we know it can be done. If you are serious about "working together" quit alienating the help.

P.S. I don't wanna hear "Try being the goon who gets shot down from an upping plane." Cuz there's no difference between getting shot down from an upping plane or losing 1 troop to a GV thats parked in the town. It both ends with the same result.

I have been trying to head into the areas where the biggest fight is for the past few months, and I've got to tell ya, lately it doesn't seem to work.  By the time I get there the enemy dar bar shrinks to nothing and there is a vulch on.  So, after I die or land my kills, I'll try to find another one only to see that one gone as well.  This seems to go on for about an hour, then I log.

Just haven't found a great fight lately, but I'm really not into doing the missions anymore.  I don't want to take numbers into a base then deack and just land the scalps of the poor fools that tried to up.  That seems how it normally goes.  The war doesn't matter to me, and really taking bases goes right along with that.

I did switch sides one night and flew with some BKs, 38Maw, and some other knights looking for a fight and it was good fun. As for some of the knights, I see them screaming about the same things.  Bish used to do this all the time when I flew with them over a year ago... we all do it.

Fly how you want to fly and keep company with those who you enjoy flying with.  :aok

Guess I better set this back on track ...

What started this rant was the fact that all of saturday over  100 rooks hung out at a4 while we lost over 30 bases with pratically no resistance (There was a handfull of us trying to stop them) is the vulchfest / kill shootering yourself at a4 that important ? and how many kills did ya get ?? (I got over 75 and not from a4  )

In the Rook days of old most of us logged in looked for the biggest nmy dar bar and went to work .. not look for the biggest green dar bar and play it safe in numbers and fighting over vulches ...

Rooks don't listen, you doing fine. Rosco doesn't know of what he speaks.  Just stare at A4, rooks you are getting sleepy, very sleepy,  when i snap my fingers you will all converge on A4 but do not take it.

Is horde capturing bases that important? Is how many resets you were logged on for that important?

I think the true question should be did the guy paying his $15/mo have fun?

Nobody enlisted in AH fer pete's sake. This isn't really a war for national survival.

Now, if everytime I was on the winning side in a reset the HTC computer would instantly auto-order a pizza and a sixpack delivered to my house free of charge, I'd probably be a bit more interested in resets.
